Mister picked me up after the event and off we went to Queenstown to get his soccer boots and another pair of going out shoes... VAIN!!! hahahha.. He rewarded me for my escort with yummy meatballs and chicky wings at Ikea after...

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS... 11-15 Oct was my long long long awaited Vietnam trip!!! hadnt been on a trip since April and i was really looking forward to my first trip in months with Mister.. Thanks laopos + spouses, Eric and Lily and Mister for making it such a wonderful trip that I am still grinning like an ah siao looking at e photos.. LOVE LOVE LOVE

As laopo gotta do sm tailoring.. Mister and I met up with his friend & wife (eric and lily) to sm navigating and party preparation shopping... As we were both pretty famished.. he brought us to Huynh Hoa to get this full of awesomeness Banh Mi (sorta Vietnam version of subway wif french loaf).. Mister and I were immediately sold by e chunky hams and yummy sauce and flavouring! However, as i dig in.. the chilli gt the better of me and i started crying... For the non-chilli fans like me.. rmbr to ask e gal not to put too much chilli into it!!!
Shop ard for scotch tape and money changing before he brought us for a sumptuous seafood dinner! I kept telling Mister tt i wan those big palm-sized shellfish that my dad were raving about.. Eric's wife helped us order and I couldnt be more grateful!!!! wahahahhaa...

Den Lily brought us to a famous vietnamese bakery to choose cakes for laopos bday.. since ryan suggested two cakes (i was so tempted to buy e whole store)... i had a hard time choosing at e bakery! She was so sweet to ask e bakery to immediately write laopos' name for me~~~ SO NICE TO HV A LOCAL ARD RIGHT~~~

since we missed the slot for independence palace.. we walked over to the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica.. it's one of the best spot for wedding shots orh!!

It's a very very sad place where you see photos of the war, victims of Agent Orange, tortures that Americans did to Vietnamese... though Vietnam won the war eventually, it's a high price to pay since many second/ third generations still suffer the consequences of the chemical war.. Cried quite abit reading a letter that a second generation girl wrote to President Obama... on how her dreams of being doctor was rejected bcoz of her disability.. how she was advised never to marry and give birth as her descendent is most likely be deformed and suffer the same fate.. How she is struggling to meet her ends despite her efforts to study till university against all odds coz no one wants to employ her... SAD SAD SAD la! my eyes are stinging again tinking of the letter... F**king company who created this chemical.. i hope U ARE GENUINELY REMORSEFUL OF YOUR ACTIONS!!!!! karma will strike!!!!

After the depression day of war museums... we parted with Ryan and Angel who wanted to hv their pte moment celebrating angel's bday... eric and lily brought us to the seafd place last night to have another round of seafd!!! omg! so contented!!!
Then we had desserts! theirs wif durian and mine wifout...
We then went to register for a Mekong River cum Cu Chit Tunnel tour with this agency.. WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A SCAM! paid USD23 for a CC Tunnel tour ONLY!!! cheats cheats cheats! the vn gal's english was so good and we clarified a few times to ensure that she got our request right.. end up.. all we did is tk a boat to CC tunnel! pui pui pui... Recognise this agency n NEVER go there!!
Grabbed a quick bite at the hotel before getting up e bus.. it was there where we realised we were conned. Frantic phone calls to the agencies by eric and Lily was futile as they say they have only agreed to one tour instead of two. damn!!!
