Of random musings and 15 yr anniversary tour!

Mister came the Wednesday before I fly to Koh Samui for a round of Star Wars.. and XiaoHui and XiongXiong met for the first time!

Then.. it was luggage packing time!!!! *_* Sad kids...
All ready to go!!! 28/02/2013 - 15 Years of friendship with Xin & Ver trip!!!!
Check out my chio luggage!!! Courtesy of Papa and Mama Wong! keke~~~
Checked the LTA traffic watch on TPE before i leave for the airport
And the FML reality when i was on e road 5 mins later

After a 1 hr 35 mins journey... Here's us at Koh Samui Airport!!
Though Nora Beach is a relatively old resort... it's 4-star with a pte beach! check out the humongous bathroom!!!!

The shower was glass ceiling n the bathing in e morning was just gorgeousness!!

and the outdoor shower to wash away the sand before entering the room!
Tempted by the brochure we found at the airport... we made reservations for THIS on the last day of our trip!
As we dint really do any research before the trip.. we sat down for itinerary discussion after shower.. Here's wat we chose for the next day!

Next Morning... we indulge ourselves a little by waking up a little late and enjoyed a luxurious breakfast by the beach
then we did a little walk out to grab some mineral water and insect repellent!
And we are all set to go!!!!
As i had phobia of heights... the gals were extremely excited to tk a photo of my shagged face after climbing up the rope bridge n a round of zigzag flying fox
Elephant trekking
As the ATV was pretty heavy.. I had difficulty navigating... this park ranger offered to ride the lie huo zhan che with me~~ and thanks to him... he did so many stunts with the bike i really enjoyed myself! wahaahha... esp the turning in rounds to skid sand up! wahahahhaha~
then we went for waterfall jump.. no photos taken there as we kept our phones..

And with our sweaty, sandy, smelly body after all the activities... we went to town for a little shopping! Here's wat i gt mister and myself!
In general, the things at Koh Samui are relatively expensive compared to Bangkok... For those of u who want to go Koh Samui for a little shopping.. be prepared for a hardcore bargaining session and impossibility of getting cheap prices like u do in Bkk!

Rise and Shine next day.. we woke up around 5.30am for our day in the sea! I am actually looking forward to this as I m more of a sea person than mountains...
Some sightseeings to perk us up~ and snokelling!!!!
they say this is a rock of a monkey saying sawadee ka!
Climbing up the mother-effing steep n narrow stairs for a view of the valley.. the climb down was scary can!!!
Did some tanning by the beach and kayaking during recreation at the beach... we actually kayak all the way to the lesser known James Bond island and came back! Though the sea was choppy with speedboats occasionally passing by.. the trip was worth it!!!

Super shagged after the activities... Rushed back to the hotel for a nice warm bath.. before heading off to town for seafood dinner~ it is actually our first yummy meal in Koh Samui as the meals during the trip was really... meh~

While leaving the restaurant... the waiter caught me taking a photo of the restaurant

And he taught me to take a pic the Koh Samui style!

After the sumptuous meal.. we went back hotel to write our wishes before gg to let out the lucky balloon! better known as fang tian deng!

May all my wishes came true. *pray*

Applying face mask after the two harsh days after a long soak bath in the tub...

it is moment like this... I must take a moment to say my gratitude to the one up there.. I may not be earning the highest salary among my peers, I may not be having the best life.. but it's a blessing u know.. that I can go on shioky holidays at any suggestions.. I can have the ability to spend.. my family is healthy and do not need my salary to support.. (albeit the pocket money i give them every month..) and I hv a boyfriend and wonderful friends... Who'll go on holidays with me.. so here's my thank you. everytime i look at my photos.. I am filled with thanks for my current life.

We slept till late the very last day of our trip.. before heading down to the hotel counter to bang table. Apparently.. the housekeeping ystd was so so so horrible. They stole our mineral water, threw away Xin's contact lens casing and teeth retainer which costs alot! We asked for the hotel manager and he promise to investigate before writing a report for Xin to claim travel insurance..

BAD BAD BAD housekeeping!

On the hotel's part.. they provided us free transport to the restaurant i mentioned earlier on the first night.. FOR OUR OYSTER BRUNCH!

Shall let the pic do the word.. with cocktails, oysters, the view... PERFECT finale to the trip i must say!

Toasting to our 15 years of friendship and many years to come!

Am gg to miss Xin a lot when she head over to the states for her job in May for 3 years.. *sniff*

then.. it was time to say goodbye... at koh samui airport.. The airport actually looks like those factory outlets in the states and theme park rolled into one with candy floss kiosks and shopping outlets by the two sides... it's no wonder it was voter's choice as most charming airport in the world

the weather was hot and Swensons was cheap!

Here's my DIY ice cream!

FML.. flight was delayed..bt unlike the lousy Changi airport.. Koh samui airport was better... they had a courtesy corner to keep passengers occupied.. with their sumptuous spread of thai desserts and tea cakes! Seriously.. it's little gestures like this that makes a difference.. till today i m still pissed off with the crowded Terminal 2 when my flight was delayed for so-called 2 hrs bt in reality 5hrs when i went Bkk last year... Guess we are too bz striving to be BEST airport in e world with the architectures.. they fgt the human touch!

And bcoz we hv to climb up the plane.. here's the tram rides that bring us there! Super cute right!!!

Back to singapore means back to reality..
Traffic Jam =.=

Fell sick with mild heat stroke and heat rash...
Caught the RM episode starring Jacky Chan.. Chk out RM's new opening! LOL...

Horrible rashes...

As it was Robinsons' sale.. Parents were out pak-tor-ing.. While i was boiling porridge... I tried my hands on drip-paint nails

Closer view

All prepared to be housewife

Fighting!

Yesterday.. Mj gt all of us A Gan Tea during lunch...it's my fav bubble tea brand u know... Bai Xiang QQ with no sugar! woots!

Oh! and do u all know now MOF serves Japanese steamboat dinner???

But since i was sick.. me Ps and mini just ate the normal MOF

and check out the gigantic Ice Mink Lemon tea!

It is really as huge as the picture shows!

Before rushing home to give my orders to chris for Victoria Secrets... Chk out my bikini and new pair of Melissa coming my way soon!!!

Excited~~~~~~

And may everybody have a happy March ahead!!!! ^o^
